Friguarda became an independent company in the early 1990s. Until then, it operated as a regional distributor of seafood and vegetable products from the popular brand Frip. Over the years, we have expanded our operations while remaining true to what defines us: a 100% family-owned and family-run company dedicated to connecting quality food products with consumers.

Today, we rely on a team of around 60 employees and a fleet of around 25 distribution vehicles, ensuring nationwide coverage. We operate from various facilities across Portugal, including our own in Loures — our main logistics hub — and are currently preparing a new, modern, and sustainable facility that will replace our original headquarters in Guarda, which is still in operation. In the Algarve region, we operate under the name Guardagarve, based in Vilamoura.
